Caring can be a rewarding and at times a challenging role. Carers manage many different thoughts and feelings. Dealing with these is not always easy. Talking it over with others can help. Talking to a therapist doesn't mean failure, not coping or feeling inadequate. It's about looking after yourself. 

We provide short term counselling to caring families. 

People are eligible to use our service if they provide care and support to a family member or friend who is frail and elderly, has dementia, a mental illness, a disability, chronic illness or complex needs, or receives palliative care. We can also provide counselling if a client has recently stopped providing care.

We can provide short-term counselling (up to six sessions) that will mainly focus on issues related to the caring role. Carers can come back after a break or if there is something new that they need to deal with.

Core Connections is an approved provider of counselling & psychology services for TAC & WorkCover.

How treatments and services are paid for: We pay for your treatment

• Directly to your psychologist, psychiatrist or social worker, when you have given them your TAC claim number, or
• If you have to pay, use myTAC to send a copy of your receipt to us and we will repay you.

We pay for your services in line with our responsibilities under the Transport Accident Act 1986.

The People Assist program offers a flexible service model that can be adapted to the changing needs of the workplace environment meeting the needs of all target audiences within the work environment. A Converge International People Assist program provides short-term and solutions focussed counselling which aims to support and empower employees and members of their families through a variety of best practice counselling approaches and frameworks to assist in resolving personal and work-based issues.
